Talk about cartoons, what is the first thing you will think of? Is it the name Disney so familiar to most cartoon fans around the world?
Yes, talking about cartoons, it is hard not to think of Disney movies immediately. But it would be a mistake to not mention the second boss of cartoon movies. Yes, I’m talking about Dream Works. Although Dream Works is just a little boy in the eyes of a mogul like Disney in the field of animation, but over time, the productions of Dream works has gradually proved its quality and position in the eyes of audiences all around the world. The best proof of this is that all the films produced by DreamWorks are reach impressive revenue at box office. This has put DreamWorks into an impressive position as the No. 1 rival of the cartoon boss – Disney. However, that position is still far away from the initial ambition of Dream Works founders. That is to overthrow the Disney mogul. Because Jeffrey Katzenberg – one of the three founders of DreamWorks – used to be the CEO of Disney for a while and was contributed to many of the famous animations of the company including The Lion King. But due to some disagreements with Disney, when decided to quit his job, he decided to set up a film studio to beat this entertainment boss. And so DreamWorks was born. We have to admit that competition is inevitable in business, but looking at the positive side, it is clear that competition has helped each one in both progress over time.
Looking back on the way that DreamWorks was over come, the classic animated films which is associated with the Dream Works impressive logo – a picture of a boy fishing on a crescent moon, we can mention such names as Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2D animation), or Shrek Part 1 & Part 2 (from this film, Dream Works only produces 3D animation).
And it would be a big omission if not to mention Madagascar, an animated feature film produced by DreamWorks in the summer of 2005. The animated about the adventures of four animals at the New York zoo center: a lion, a zebra, a giraffe and a hippopotamus. They were friends until one of them disappears, while the other three escape to find the lost animal. They followed a boat to an island of Madagascar in Africa. Unfortunately, the boat overturned in the sea so all captive animals have tasted how wild life is. Madagascar won impressively in both the US and world markets. The film grossed more than half a billion dollars in ticket sales and made it the top rated family comedy of the year.
And now, I would like to present to you a small pictures collection of coloring for kids that depict the funny animals of this famous movie.
